Goodbye Idaho family and hello Montana country

Well it sucked but today I had to say goodbye to my family in Idaho.  Alaina left early with Beau, it was so sad to see them leave and I will miss Beau.  I already can't wait until I can see him again.  I stayed visiting with my Aunt Shelly, which was nice.  We have never really spent time alone talking like that before.  Plus my Uncle Wayne went out elk hunting and shot one so I wanted to wait until he brought it over so that I could see it.  He got a 3 by 4 (which means 3 horns on one side and 4 on the other).  It was so funny cause I was all excited for him that he got one and then when he brought it over to show me the first thing I see is this big hole in its butt.  I seriously thought he shot it right in the ass, talk about good aim.  But he didn't its just from when he gutted it.  It was huge, I think he said about 500 pounds.  I told him I cant wait for my jerky.  Unfortunately though I wasn't going to stay another 2 weeks to wait for it, so maybe next time.  His brother and nephew probably thought I was a dorky city girl, shhh people I can hear all of you saying they are right, ha ha.
After saying goodbye I headed out towards Montana.  It was raining basically the whole drive.  I stopped on the way to the 50,000 Silver Dollar Bar/Restaurant/Gift Shop.  It was ok.  I mean if you want to see a crap load of silver dollar coins then ya stop by.  Actually they had alot of souvenirs there also so that was cool.
I then headed over to stay the night in Missoula, Montana.  The town looks pretty nice so I am going to drive around tomorrow and see if there is anything to see around here.

Fun with Family in Fernwood,Idaho

Today was one funny, fun day. O' Alaina where should I begin? First my cousin Alaina and I went into St. Maries (the biggest town around with 2,000 people, I think Fernwood has like 500) to have lunch with my Aunt Gail, cousins Stephanie and Jake,Aunt Shelly and Uncle Wayne. After lunch Alaina and I went
back to my Aunt Gail's and we all bullshitted and played guitar hero.
Later Alaina and I left and on our way back to Fernwood I see this sign that says "Game Crossing". Seriously the first thing I think of is that the game Scrabble was going to come across the road and throw a Y at us, or Monopoly will jump out in front of us. Ha Ha Alaina was like your crazy its for the
deer. Ya well this city girl is use to the deer signs that actually have pictures of deer on them.
Then we decide to go to the cemetery so she can show me my Great Grandma's plot. Well let me say first that we left my Uncle Wayne's dog Harley in the car. Have you guessed what happened? After browsing the cemetery we go back to the car and Harley LOCKED US OUT! We were like you have to be kidding. The dog hit the electric button jumping from window to window and Alaina's car keys were in there. So mind you we are 5 miles away from Fernwood. So what do we do since it's starting to get dark? We walk and everyone knows how I feel about that. I was like we are so having Yorkie for dinner when we finally get to a
phone ha ha. So we've walked about 1/2 a mile when all of the sudden we see cars coming. I have never hitch hiked before but at that moment I was all for it. So I stick out my thumb and for good measure throw out my right leg (like the women do in movies except mine is about 3 times bigger and not has appealing) anyways we got luck and it was my Aunt Shelly and Uncle Wayne driving by. I wish I could have taken a picture of their faces cause it was priceless. Imagine them looking at us with their hands in the air, mouths open and kept staring at us has they drove by. O and I forgot to mention it was Alaina, me and baby Beau. Another car behind them must have liked my leg because he stopped to. Hey 2 for 1 not so bad in my first hitch hiking try. I know you might be alittle upset but I didn't go with the other person who stopped I went with my family. We drove back to Alainas truck and for about 10 minutes was yelling at the dog to open the door. I totally felt like the pirates in the Disney Pirates of the Caribbean movie when the dog has the keys and they are trying to get it to come to them so they can unlock their cell door. Ya that was us. We wanted in and he had the power. Finally Harley's paw hit the button and I grabbed the door so he couldn't lock it again.
After that we needed a drink. I had brought some Root Beer Vodka 100 proof (yes I said 100 proof) with me and it was time for a drink. So my cousin Josh, his girlfriend,Alaina, Steph, my Aunt Gail and I all had a drink. Then we decided even better and made Root Beer Floats with it. O man it was so good. I can't wait to go back to California and get some more of that Vodka. We stayed up late just talking and hanging out. Man I love small towns everyone knows everything about everyone. I don't even live there but I can give you the 411 on whats going on in Fernwood and St. Maries. It felt kinda like work at lunch time, ha ha. Girls you know what I mean, I hear the gossip but don't know who any of the people are.
O my Uncle Wayne also showed be a rattlesnake skin from one that he had killed and now he is drying the skin to put around a hat.  It was long and felt wierd but cool all at the same time.

Goodbye Washington and Hello Idaho

I know I know im slacking in the writing department.  I have been so busy at night researching things to do at my next stop that I just get to tired to blog.  Plus when I was in Idaho so much was going on I didn't have time.  So I will begin with last week and hopefully catch up in the next day or two.(done Tues 10/12/10)
Friday I spent some more time with my Great Grandma Donna before heading out around 2pm for Idaho.  I had a really nice visit with her and I hope to see her again soon. ( hopefully when she comes to visit in Vegas).  The drive to Idaho was nice.  Alot of small towns to go through.  I drove by the St. Joe river which was really pretty.  I was so excited cause I couldn't wait to see my cousin Alaina's baby Beau.  It is just like the happiest baby ever.  When I walked in the house I was like hi Alaina wheres Beau haha.  While my Aunt Shelly and Uncle Wayne were out Alaina and I had a nice time visiting.  One thing I like about my family is that no matter how long its been since you last talked or saw them its like we have been hanging out this whole time.  My cousin Josh came and kicked it with us for awhile so that was cool.
I didn't really do much today except just drive and then kick it with the family.

Saying Goodbye to Oregon and Hello Moses Lake,Washington

Well I got a later start on the road then I wanted to today but it was ok.  We had a episode last night...the wind was blowing bad during the night and at 4am we heard a siren and we thought o great its a Tsunamu warning.  No it wasnt the wind was blowing so hard it made my car alarm go off.  So not only did it wake all of us up but all the people left on my Grandma's block.  Then to top it off I couldnt find my car keys so I was looking all over for them.  When we finally got it turned off we all went back to bed.  It ended up messing up our schedule cause we all slept in since we were so tired.  I said my goodbyes and headed out.
First stop..VooDoo Doughnuts.  I found it really easy and stood in line to get my Maple Bacon Bar.  And yes I really did have to stand in line.  The place is so small that only about 5 people can be in there at a time.  I got some other doughnuts to try also like the Blunt Doughnut and one with cocoa puffs on it.  The Maple Bacon Bar was the best but then again anything with bacon would be good.  The coca puffs one was ok but I wouldn't get it again and I haven't eaten the Blunt Doughnut.  O and if your wondering why I went there..it was on the food or maybe travel channel and they sell all kinds of weird doughnuts.  I almost got a penis one but I felt it wasn't worth the $7.00 just to take a picture of it haha.
Second stop was at Multnomah Falls.  I didn't go up to it since i've been there before but I like stopping there kinda like a rest area place.  Plus I wanted to try my doughnuts haha.
After that it was back on the road.  It rained the whole drive and I got lost in the Tri-Cities area for about 45 minutes.  I was getting so pissed I just about cried just to let it all out.  The road kept taking me everywhere I didn't want to go and I could see the sign that I needed but no way to get there.  Finally I figured it out and was able to cross the bridge and get on the correct road.
I got to Moses Lake around 6:30pm and had a nice visit with my Great Grandma Donna.  Its been about 4 years since i've seen her.  It's always nice to see family when you don't get to see them that often.

Leaving Oregon Tomorrow

Omg sorry everyone I haven't been able to write in awhile.  The whole time just about i've been sick here.  I got sick on Thursday or Friday and all weekend I was laid up not able to do much.  Finally on Monday I was like screw this and my Grandma and I went down to the Urgent Care in Florence about 30 minutes away.  Let me just tell you they are not very urgent.  In fact they told me to come back after their lunch time??  When I did go back I waited (no joke) an hour in the room for the doctor.   All together we were there about 5 hours. I ended up having  a nasal infection.  Figures, but im just glad it wasn't something worse that got into my lungs.  So after I started taking the meds that day, i've been feeling alot better.  I am just so thankful that I was with my Grandma and she took awesome care of me.  To bad right when I feel better is when im leaving.  My cousins from Texas showed up yesterday so now she has a full house.  Its really nice to see Tony and Karla( my cousins) since its been a couple of years.  I took some pictures of us at the beach earlier today but I will post them tomorrow.
So tomorrow the plans are to head out of my Grandma's around 8am then go to Portland and stop by VooDoo Donuts and then head over to Moses Lake, Washington to stay the night at my Great Grandma Donna's house.  Its been years since i've seen her so it will be cool to see her again.
Sorry its been awhile but will plan to catch up more now that im going back on the road.
